1: Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage is a lightweight conforming stockinette which can be used for wet or dry wrapping, dressing retention or as an undercast stockinette. To apply a Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage all that is needed is a pair of scissors and a pair of hands. Simply cut off the required length.

2: Stretch the piece of Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage over the hands and over the affected limb if securing a dressing. If limb coverage is required the Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage is simply pulled or rolled on as a stocking.

3: The Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandage covers the dressing/limb and gives it a light, even, non-constricting pressure. It may be applied in a double layer especially over joints for extra security, or the edges may be tucked under. Either way it stays in place and is quick, easy, comfy and non-constricting.

New Tubifast 2-Way Stretch is the world's first and only lightweight elasticated tubular bandage with radial and longitudinal stretch. This unique mode of action allows patients complete freedom of movement, with added comfort. Ideal for dressing retention and skin covering for any part of the body. It can also be used for patch wrapping and as an under-cast stockinette.

Tubifast 2-Way Stretch holds dressings securely in place without the need for tapes, pins or ties. It is quick and easy to use, with less risk of fraying than traditional tubular bandages. Because of its tubular construction, Tubifast 2-Way Stretch is particularly suitable for holding dressings in place on difficult areas such as stumps of amputee patients.

Use Within Wrapping
Wet wrapping is a therapy used in the treatment of atopic eczema, and involves the use of an emollient under retention bandaging. An emollient (such as Epaderm Ointment which is designed for use in wet wrapping) is applied to the affected skin, which is then covered with a damp layer of Tubifast Bandage.  Working together, the emollient and the damp layer keep the skin hydrated and moist, and help reduce inflammation. The damp Tubifast Garment also acts as a retaining layer, ensuring that the emollient stays in contact with the skin. The damp layer also cools and soothes the skin and helps to reduce the itch. A second, dry layer is then applied, which keeps the patient's clothing dry and prevents further scratching from aggravating the skin and causing potential injury.

Dry wrapping is a similar process to wet wrapping. An emollient  (such as Epaderm Ointment which is designed for use in dry wrapping) is applied to the affected skin, which is then covered with a single, dry layer of Tubifast Bandage.

Washing Instructions
As the bandage edges are not seamed, please hand wash to avoid fraying. If using the bandages with Epaderm (or a similar emollient), to remove the emollient from the bandages, place into hot water to soak, then hand wash in warm water (40 degrees). Air dry.

Tubifast garments and bandages are suppose to last for approximately 10-15 washes.

Solutions Medical uses a combination of Couriers & Australia Post for all shipments based on geographical and logistical expediency.

If you are not likely to be home when a delivery is to be effected, then you need to instruct us by message so we can have your permission to leave parcels as the couriers are unable to leave any item unless approval is given. We notify all customers of Tracking Numbers on the day of dispatch through the eBay message system for you to track the item. Please ensure you keep an eye on this tracking as it will keep you fully informed. This is your responsibility. If you are not at home the courier will leave a scanned card for you to contact their base to arrange for a second delivery. If you fail to contact the Courier they will return the item to us and you will be responsible to pay for any additional deliveries. (Keep an eye on your tracking as this also informs you if a card has been left and what you need to do) .

If you prefer to have your items sent to a PO BOX or by POST please message us and your item will be sent via Australia Post.
