The dime, in U.S. usage, is a ten-cent coin, one tenth of a United States dollar, labelled formally as "one dime" and the denomination was first authorized in 1792.  The dime is the smallest in diameter and is the thinnest of all U.S. coins. Roosevelt and the reverse boasts an olive branch, a torch, and an oak branch, from left to right respectively.  Prior to 1965 the composition of the dime 90% silver and 10% copper, dimes from before 1965 are generally not in circulation due to being removed for their silver content.
