We believe this is a Disabled Soldiers Pottery piece.  But it is unmarked.  The Red Cross set up this Pottery in 1920 - 1925 to give employment to disabled soldiers who had returned from World War 1. They made a variety of vases in 30 different shapes, including jugs biscuit barrels, candlesticks etc.   The colours are blue, brown and a creamy colour.   This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, but as you can see in the photos it has a lot of firing bubbles.  I have seen a similar vase on a website with a different glaze and one recently sold at Shapiro Auctions on the 6th February, Lot number 10, with 2 other Disabled Soldiers, pieces. The vase would be around 100 years old and it is a very rare piece of Australian Pottery. Vase is 14.5 cms high by approx. 15 cms from handle to handle. This vase will be very well packaged, so it will arrive safe and secure.
