I have up for auction loads of vintage clothing from the 1960’s and 1970’s.

These are genuine vintage pieces not “vintage inspired” pieces that are brand new.

So because of this there will some small imperfections and signs of wear, but nothing that will take away from the overall look of the garment.

I have given all the clothes a wash to freshen them up and looked over them for any holes, stains and major imperfections and to the best of my knowledge they are all in pretty reasonable used condition considering their age. I am happy to refund anything you are not happy with.

These clothes belonged to my mother-in-law who passed away this year at age 97.

They literally have been hanging in her wardrobe for the past 50+ years and we now are in the process of cleaning out her house so we will be listing lots of different items including retro things from my husband’s childhood. So watch this space!

She was a keen seamstress in her day (as were many ladies of her era) and she bought good quality material and made a lot of her own clothes. So some of the pieces I will be listing will be “bespoke” one offs which she made herself and will not have labels. These are things that you won’t get in store and are now sort after original vintage clothing that no-one else will have.

The kaftan material in particular is heavy and good quality and probably could be unpicked and repurposed if you are a keen seamstress yourself! Each dress is made from yards of material.

There are too many garments to measure everything and over the years her weight changed so the sizes do vary. So if you are interested in anything please message me and I will measure up for you and take more photos if you wish. But, honestly the fabric is worth more than I am listing most of the items for.

Pick up is available from Westmead, NSW 2145. Or I am happy to post at buyers expense but please be mindful that these garments are heavy good quality material and postage will be higher than usual.
