Introducing the Troutlore Dry Fly Hackle Pack, which features a selection of long hackle feathers perfect for a range of dry fly tying applications. Each pack contains 12 feathers, ranging between 10 and 16 inches. Extra feathers are added if any are shorter than this. These will tie up to 20 flies per feather, depending on the size and pattern being tied. Obviously, a sparse Catskills fly uses a lot less hackle wraps that a fully wrapped Stimulator.
There is a range of colours within the packs, including black, brown, grizzly, badger, white, ginger and more, mostly in the #10 – #16 size range. These include select feathers from both Whiting and Hebert Miner saddles, and are all high quality dry fly tying feathers.
At Troutlore, we want you to have the best choice of the best feathers possible to create perfectly floating dry flies. If you can’t see the colour of cape you are after, please feel free to get in touch and we will do what we can to get you the feathers you need.
Sale is for one single pack, similar to the ones pictured. The actual feathers in the pack will vary slightly. We go through so many of these, we simply cannot photograph them all. Size, shape and colour does vary slightly between each pack, but quality is assured with all. Combined postage for multiple items offered. Make your purchases and I will send a combined invoice. You will only pay the postage price of the largest item and everything else will be sent with it at no extra charge. I operate this small business in an aim to provide fly fishers with the tools and materials needed for chasing trout in all waters. I choose the range of products to stock and sell from the items I use myself and items I just love. I am a real fly fishing tragic that has fully understood the concept that this is a sport of accessories. I am always looking for new toys and tools to take out onto the river and those that I can readily supply will be available here for you too. I photograph every item I sell so you can see them in the listing as they will arrive. I think it is important to understand just what you are getting and not to rely on a stock photo that may not truly represent the actual item. Thanks for looking. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me by email and I will get back to you as soon as I am free, and not out on the river.
