Fine old collectors piece. Collected in 1960’s this is a very attractive vintage African female mask from the Tsangui, Gabon. Scars part the face in height of forehead and cheeks, this is typical for this type of mask. Hand carved (adzed) from a single piece of wood. Date of origin: second half 20th. century. Usage traces and drying cracks. Beautiful patina.
