Almost five hours of riveting documentary footage detailing the last great land battle of the 20th Century's master tacticians Rommel and Montgomery as they fought across the Desert Plains of North Africa. Four cameramen were killed and six badly injured in the filming of the "Desert Victory" a record of arguably WW2 greatest contest the Battle of Alamein . "Before Alamein we never had a victory after Alamein we never had a defeat" Winston Churchill. Also included in this eight film pack are John Huston's poetic documentary of the Allied invasion on a small Italian village "San Pietro."
