Item: Vintage Children's velvet x-strap and woven bamboo sandals Date: Probably 1950s Composition: Woven bamboo; velvet straps, braided rope-type sole with leather heel Markings/Brand: none Size: measure 7 3/4" front to back Condition: Very good to excellent; no wear; no broken weaves Since these shoes are very old, I would recommend them for collecting/display only and would not recommend letting a child actually wear them. Comment: I have been collecting children's antique and vintage shoes and accessories for many years. I never tried to polish them or go the extra mile in cleaning them up - I always liked to look at them and think, "If those shoes could tell a story, what would they tell?" I am now downsizing and must find new homes for these children's items.
