Comic Art, the drawn entertainment magazine makes its first appearance in March 1982 initially published by the EPC publishing house (Edizioni Produzioni Cartoons) with the editorial collaboration of Comic Art but from n. 60 in March 1988 will be published directly by Comic Art under the direction of Oreste Del Buono. On 1 June 1984 the monthly Comic Art debuted. Both magazines in the mid-eighties reached the sale of 50,000 copies presenting both stories, tales and drawings by both Italian and foreign authors such as: Rodolfo Torti, Massimo Rotundo, Andrea Pazienza, Carlos Trillo, Moebius (Jean Giraud), Giancarlo Berardi, Ivo Milazzo, Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri, Franco Saudelli, Vittorio Giardino, Roberto Baldazzini, Massimo Mattioli, Bonvi, Anna Brandoli, Sergio Toppi, Francesca Ghermandi, Sicomoro, Giancarlo Alessandrini, Andrea Cascioli, Ugolino Cossu, Jordi Bernet, John Buscema, Jack Kirby, Juan Giménez, Antonio Hernandez Palacios, Richard Corben, Milo Manara, Hugo Pratt, Georges Wolinski, Claire Bretecher, Alejandro Jodorowsky and many other international authors.
From the mid-nineties the anthological magazines Comic Art and L'Eternauta went into crisis and the publishing house began to publish monographic volumes dedicated to great international authors.
In July 2000, number 181 was published, the last of the Comic Art Rivista series and in the same year the publishing house closed down.
