Taipan 2.5 cc Series 13 Diesel Engine in beautiful condition, Superb compression. My personal favourite of all the engines Gordon Burford ever produced The Series 13 2.5 cc Black head Diesel I've had a few over the years. They will swing absurdly large props if you want to but when you want them to really scream on 7" diameter props they'll do it too A lovely flexible engine and extremely rugged as well. I really love them. This example hasn't done a lot of work and is in very nice condition. The piston sleeve fit is very good indeed. No leakage at TDC whatsoever. The cylinder jacket anodising is in excellent condition, no scratches or grazes. There are some washer witness mark on the top of the lugs. The mounting holes are the original size and haven't been tampered with. The engine is 100% original. Correct venturi and needle valve assembly. It's fitted with an alloy Veco 1&3/4" spinner The shaft fit is nice and free as you'd expect from a twin BB set up. The perfect control line engine. An altogether beautiful example of my favourite Gordon Burford design. This is an engine I've used and I'm sad to let it go. It really is a very very nice example but it needs a new home An ideal engine for the Gordon Burford day at the Kuringai model flying club in October or if we are lucky another vets gathering or the Oily hand weekend in Cowra in August. Remember you can never have too many model aeroplane engines.
