Presenting an exceptional amethyst art glass vase, model number 13139, designed by the renowned Frantisek Vizner in 1962 for Rudolfova Hut, one of the Czech Glassworks that formed a part of the Sklo Union. With its fabulously modern and wonderfully sculptural smooth clean lines and its exquisite radiant amethyst colour this stunning vase makes a spectacular display feature with massive Modernist appeal. This exquisite piece has a tapered form with quadrant ribs creating plastic like extrusions of thick glass. The beautifully rounded thick curved glass acts like a lens, spectacularly magnifying and distorting the light to create striking optical effects. A breath taking work of art, which like any iconic design, remains just as appealing and contemporary today as when first designed. SIZE: This impressive vase stands approx 210mms tall and measures 100mms in diameter. WEIGHT: This piece weighs 1.345 kg unpackaged. CONDITION: This exquisite vase is presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly.
