Most anglers these days know what a baitcaster reel is and its capabilities however the Shimano Tranx reel takes baitcasting to the next level, designed for hard core freshwater fishing for murray cod and barra as well as for saltwater brutes, with this reel think big baits, big fish, big results.

Shimano Tranx is a larger than your traditional baitcaster reel making it the perfect choice for throwing large lures at murray cod such as swimbaits. However, the tranx also makes an ideal choice for overhead light jigging offshore or for throwing, large soft plastic lures, medium size stickbaits and hardbody fishing lures.

One of the most exciting features of the Shimano Tranx Baitcatster reel is it features Shimano's latest technological advancement being Core Protect. So, what exactly does this mean? Core Protect takes all the most important parts of the reel and makes them resistant to water. You can take the reel into some of the harshest saltwater angling environments and this reel is going to stack up much better against the elements compared to most other traditional baitcaster reels on the market for sale.

One other Key feature of the Shimano Tranx reel is the Hagane Body. A cold forged body built with a tremendous amount of durability meaning there is no flex in this fishing reel keeping all the gears and parts aligned for ultra-smoothness and the best performance output a baitcaster reel can offer. As we mentioned earlier, that's where this reel is going to come in to play, for use with big baits for big fish and can easily stack up to the challenge.

As part of this we understand that online shopping is a totally different experience to in store purchasing and there may be times and situations where you many need to return a product from our online fishing and outdoors store.

At Ocean Storm Fishing Tackle we want to try and make the return process easy and simple for you and here so have written this easy returns policy to give you clear understanding on your options . This policy is of course is in addition to all other rights and remedies that are provided as part of Australian consumer law.

This policy is our online policy and may differ to policies we have for goods purchased in person at our physical stores.

Our Returns Policy

Faulty and damaged goods on delivery

?   Should you receive a product from us that is faulty or damaged that is not caused through your own fault, we will happily swap the item for you for an identical item or another of your choice should you wish. If there is any difference in price you can fix us up for the balance or if the difference in price is in your favour we can refund it or use the balance towards other items of your choice till funds are depleted.

?   You may also elect for a full refund if the goods are faulty or damaged through no fault of your own.

?   Goods will need to be returned and we will happily pay for the postage for the item to be returned in cases that are not your fault. Simply contact us so we can discuss.

We have been sent the wrong item by mistake?

?   It is very rare for us to muck up an order but in the off chance that we do send an apple instead of an orange so to speak, simply contact us and we will rectify the situation for you pronto. You will not be liable for any return postage costs.

Change of Mind Returns

?   In the case you have received your order and you change your mind as item is not fit for your purpose as long as you contact us within 3 business days of your order being signed for on delivery, the goods are un-used and in original packaging we will gladly accommodate your needs by exchanging for other items you require.

?   In this particular case however if it is a refund you would like instead of a swap for goods we will still happily accommodate your request but the refund you will receive will be less the postage cost from us to you displayed on invoice, or in the case where a shipping promotion or coupon was received such as free shipping or a dollar amount off shipping, the refund will be less what it would normally be to ship the item without promotion (So $10 will be withheld)

?   For all change of mind returns, you will need to pay for return postage to us (registered so that there is proof of delivery) and organize your own carriage back to our store.

For bulky items such as fishing rods over 105cm, electric motors, surfboards, some tents, Spear guns etc. You will need to contact a courier company. Some that can generally assist you nationally are Smartsend, Interparcel or Pack and send

When returning your purchase please include a copy of your receipt not only for proof of purchase but so we can reference your order easily when it is returned.

Please include a short cover letter describing why you are returning the item and the course of action that needs to take place such as letting us know what items you require instead or to request refund as per our policy.

Faulty Items / Warranties

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

After a certain period of time of receiving your purchase and the product fails you may need to send your product direct to the supplier for warranty inspection. You can contact us for further advise on this should it be necessary. Goods that have failed will usually need to be inspected by supplier to determine if user error, misuse or genuine product failure whether it be minor or major.

General Points

No receipt? No problems, just contact us first so we can try and locate your purchase online to confirm you have purchased the goods through us.

If you have broken a fishing rod and more so a graphite rod, please search the internet for "graphite rod care" to understand if a rod will likely pass as a warranty or if it was caused by accidental breakage, not a manufacture fault

DVD’s and books are excluded under our easy returns policy, unless faulty.

Make sure you look after your gear! If your gear is in good order there generally should be no issues when it comes to warranty and dealing with suppliers.

We are located in Australia – If you are purchasing product to be delivered overseas we need to be upfront and honest with you – any warranty provided is for Australian consumers only and if you are overseas returning items to us it may actually not be so easy but contact us to discuss if you have any questions and we will do our best to assist you.

ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Our business as a whole started back in 2001 as Fishing Aqua Pet, a small retail Fishing Tackle, Aquarium and Pet store run by proprietor Ben Czulowski with wife Amie joining the business shortly after.

After Amie became pregnant with our first child in 2006 the pet and aquarium side of the business was dissolved and we focused just on the Fishing / Water sport side of the business renaming our trading name to Ocean Storm Fishing Tackle.

2005-2006 were slow beginnings online as we created our online store by ourselves from scratch. We received a small amount of orders per week but in 2007 saw our business explode to a new level after we passed the first few initial years of teething. We also expanded our product range to several thousand products most of which are stocked items ready to ship.

In 2012 we opened our massive warehouse store and have expanded our online fishing store into an online camping store also as well as offering for sale boating bits, soft surfboards and a whole lot more.

Today we have grown to the level of processing tens of thousands of orders a year and have built up a huge level of trust and confidence with our customers.
