Shimano Socorro Taipan 6000 661 Spin Combo

This Shimano Combo is designed for bait fishing but will also do light jigging without a problem, the 6000 sized Shimano Socorro reel has enough line capacity fish reefs out to 70m without a problem and the 6000 size reel means it is a good live baiting reel for Jewfish in the rivers estuaries and harbours, the Shimano Taipan rod is a fibreglass rod which means it is not very good for casting lures but great for bottom bashing and general bait fishing.

Shimano Taipan Spin Rods

After a successful comeback of the Taipan Exteme, Shimano’s ever popular Taipans are back — and these rods are every bit as deadly as the Australian snake they are named after. The latest series of rods feature an all-new stylish look, whilst retaining their traditional bait fishing actions that remain popular with many anglers.They all feature Fuji guides and reel seats, with comfortable custom shaped EVA grips. Consructed with graphite blanks and integrated fibreglass tips to increase performance, keep the weight down, but are hard wearing into the bargain. The longer rods are two-piece, with indistinguishable ferruling to maintain the desired actions. There are 17 rods in this comprehensive range series, from estuary and impoundment spin, right through to overhead offshore and deepwater boat fishing. Shimano Socorro 6000

Performance & Durability - The Shimano Socorro are very durable fishing reels, with a cold-forged aluminium body. It not only makes the Socorro incredible strong but also gives it a stunning finish aesthetically. Socorro 6000, The Shimano Socorro 6000 will do what the 5000 Socorro will do but it has that little bit more line capacity for deeper water.

The Socorro and 8000, The Shimano Socorro 8000 is the perfect reel for light bottom bashing for plate sized fish in water anywhere for 15 to 150m deep. 300m of Power Pro Braid on it no problem at all, use Moss green if you are an East Coast fisherman as you will not get bitten off by Leatherjackets as much. 

The Socorro 10000, Personally used by us at Ottos the 10000 Socorro is an awesome reel for bottom bashing due to being so light, nothing worse than holding a heavy reel all day, but like all Shimano reels is still built tough and strong so it can still be used for wrestling big Kings away from structure.

 The Shimano Socorro covers all big fish applications from inshore to offshore, surf to pier, kayak to boat and saltwater to freshwater. Delivery

Orders sent within Australia will occur through Australia Post, Fastway Couriers, Couriers Please or StarTrack. The delivery agent is chosen at Otto's Tackle World discretion.

Items  over 1m  can't be delivered to a PO Box or to an international address.

All orders are sent with tracking. Should you enable/request 'Authority to Leave' Otto's Tackle World is not liable for any loss or damage to the parcel.

All items sent are insured for free for loss or damage whilst in transit.

International orders will be sent using DHL or Express Courier International (EMS) . The delivery agent is chosen at Otto's Tackle World discretion.

Important notice for International customers  - You may incur customs charges, duties and GST from your Governments Customs Service. In most cases, any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches your country. Returns

Otto's Tackle World will happily exchange or refund an order up to the original price (less shipping cost) or replace faulty items in accordance with the following processes for all online purchases.

They are returned in original condition and packaging with all tags attached. Items cannot be used, worn, or altered in any way. Failure to comply with these requirements will cause your refund to be rejected and returned to you at your cost.

Returns must be carefully packed and sent using a regular shipping service with tracking. We will not be responsible for loss or damage to returned goods.

Item must be returned within 30 days after the buyer received the item.

The refund will be processed once the item has been inspected by Otto's Tackle World. Once the refund is approved, the refund will be processed to your original method of payment. We will not refund items damaged due to typical wear and tear.
