After the death of Nero, Galba, who was Governor of Hispania (Spain) at the time, was deemed worthy by the Roman senate and his troops for him to become emperor, this would not last long as he was later assassinated by his once faithful friend Otho. This was a tumultuous time in Roman history and a dangerous one at that to become emperor
