Item:192823119117I have over 100 detailed photos of the car I can send via eBay, Facebook, email or phone, feel free to ask. Viewing of car is NOT possible due to location and situation, however I am available to chat about the car and answer any questions. Payment will need to be made in full within 7 days (via cash on collection or PayPal prior to collecting) and car collected within 14 days (only available for collection on Tuesday or Friday afternoons/evenings or over Saturday/Sunday). I can’t help with transport, a tow truck or trailer with electric winch will be required to move car as all tyres are flat and brakes are possibly partially stuck? Haven’t attempted moving it at all. Please no offers to “Buy It Now” as I wish to let the auction run its course and determine the market value. Selling on behalf of a family member that doesn’t use eBay. Valiant RV1, factory black manual car. Stamp on rad support appears to be RV1-2-43 but build number isn’t stamped too clearly so could possibly be a different number. Matching numbers car that has original engine, car has been sitting in a garage for 30 years. Car was bought in the mid 80’s and driven for a few years before being parked in 1989. Hasn’t been moved since and garage door was only opened today and cover removed for photos. Car has a lot of surface rust as can be clearly seen (moisture trapped from car cover), but is overall a very solid car and a great base for restoration. There is a few small rust holes in rear quarters (both at bottom and on the high spots, remainder of quarters are very good) along with bottoms of a couple of doors and other spots, also some rust holes in boot lid (bottom of faux spare wheel cover) and appears a little bit around bottom of back screen. All rust holes are very small and there is NO major structural rust in the car. Boot floor is extremely solid and still has spare wheel, jack etc. Cabin floors seem to be extremely solid as well, I can’t see any rust anywhere (haven’t lifted floor mat but underneath looks excellent, I have some photos from the underside). Door frames, jambs, sills, guards, floors, rear valance etc and chassis all seem very solid with only the mentioned surface rust and minor rust holes (I may have missed some small ones). Certainly not a rusty basket case. Interior is pretty well complete, seats are quite nice despite having some split seams and could easily be saved. Same goes for door cards. Dash and cluster appear complete and quite nice, no radio or heater fitted. Has original rubber floor mat still. Missing parcel shelf (I do have a photo showing the metal frame which has never been cut up for speakers). All doors open, windows all wind up and down. Still has the original set of Forward Look keys with it. Glass is all good, rear screen still has the original dealership sticker on it (Balfours Motors). Odometer states just under 60,000 miles which is reportedly genuine (and overall state of car indicates this is likely true) however there is no books to confirm this. Engine bay is once again very original, it is missing a few noticeable items (which were taken for another RV1 decades ago). Has no radiator, alternator, distributor cap/leads/coil, carburetor, thermostat housing or brake master cylinder. All items that are easily obtainable from another car. Possibly missing some other small parts within the engine bay. Unsure if motor is free or seized, however intake and distributor have been covered up to prevent anything getting in and has been kept dry. Gear shifter moves and I can select gears still. Body is intact and very straight, has almost all trim (missing boot badge and wipers). Most (if not all) trim pieces will be savable with some work, some pieces do have corrosion or minor dints/marks etc. Car has all 4 original hubcaps. Lots more surface rust underneath but no structural rust or apparent holes anywhere. Overall it is a full resto car but I feel it to be a very good base without any major rust work to be carried out and it is mostly complete. Please ask any questions, I will do my best to answer them and can get more photos of certain areas if I haven’t already got them in the 100+ I’ve taken.Condition:Used, Warranty:No Warranty, For Sale by:Private Seller, Type of Title:Clear (most titles)
