RARE First Model Dutch M1895 KNIL Carbine Bayonet & Original Leather Sheath Issued specifically to the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army, the blued blade is stamped Crown-T on one side, the inspection mark of K. A. Bräuning, OEWG (Steyr, Austria), 1895 - 1898. The other side has the OEWG mark. The pommel is marked Crown-T again and (K) on the other side. The sheath is the first model leather sheath, with some vague numerical markings, and is in excellent condition. It has a small leather ferrule. Bayonet Serial No. '1107W'. Less than 10 of these bayonets are currently known to exist worldwide!
Total Length: - 372mm. Blade Length: - 251mm. Condition: Very good, used condition. Blade has some dead rust in some areas. Small pit near tip. Blued finish mostly intact.
