Kiwi 4 is a plug and play automotive tool that connects to the onboard diagnostic port (OBDII / CAN), retrieves information from your car's computer, and wirelessly transmits to your smart phone, tablet, smart watch, or PC. Two modes of operation are available on the Kiwi 4:
Smartphone mode behaves like the Kiwi 1/2/3 where a persistent connection with the smart device must be present. This mode enables real-time data to pass to and from the device enabling powerful OBDII apps like Kiwi OBD and other compatible 3rd party apps to be used.

All cars and light trucks built and sold in the United States after January 1, 1996 were required to be OBD II equipped. In general, this means all 1996 model year cars and light trucks are compliant, even if built in late 1995.
All gasoline vehicles manufactured in Europe were required to be OBD II compliant after January 1, 2001. Diesel vehicles were not required to be OBD II compliant until January 1, 2004.
All vehicles manufactured in Australia and New Zealand were required to be OBD II compliant after January 1, 2006. Some vehicles manufactured before this date are OBD II compliant, but this varies greatly between manufacturers and models.
Two factors will show if your vehicle is OBD II compliant:
Where is the connector located?
The connector must be located within three feet of the driver's seat and must not require any tools to be revealed. Most are located under the steering column. If your OBD II port is not there, look under the dash and behind ashtrays.
OBD II Protocols
Auto manufacturers had some leeway in the communications protocol they used to transmit parameters or PIDs, which are required by law to be uniform, to scanners. There are currently five different OBD II communications protocols in use: KWP, PWM, VPW, ISO 9141, and CAN.
What Communications Protocol does my vehicle use?
As a rule of thumb, GM cars and light trucks use SAE J1850 VPW (Variable Pulse Width Modulation). Chrysler products and all European and most Asian imports use ISO 9141 circuitry. Fords use SAE J1850 PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) communication patterns.
There are some variations among captive imports such as the Cadillac Catera, a German Opel derivative, which uses the European ISO 9141 protocol.
On 1996 and later vehicles, you can tell which protocol is used by examining the OBD II connector:
J1850 VPW - The connector should have locations 2, 4, 5, and 16 populated, but not 10 populated. ISO 9141-2 - The connector should have locations 4, 5, 7, 15, and 16 populated. J1850 PWM - The connector should have locations 2, 4, 5, 10, and 16 populated. CAN Bus - The connector should have locations 4, 5, 6, 14, and 16 populated. ISO 14230 KWP - The connector should have locations 4, 5, 7, 15, 16 populated.
If your vehicle has this style connector, but does not have these pins populated, you probably have a pre-OBDII vehicle. To add some confusion, even having the connector with the contacts shown above is not a guarantee of OBD II compliance. This style connector has been seen on some pre-1996 vehicles which were not OBD II compliant. Most vehicle manufacturers have switched over to CAN bus protocols since 2006.

We ship orders out as soon as possible, but this will not always be the same day as your order. Orders are shipped from our Warehouse in Greece. In general, for items in stock we usually process and ship them the same day if the order is placed before 1pm local time otherwise they will be shipped the next business day. For orders placed with Courier Service before 7pm local time, they will also be shipped the same business day. In any case if the dispatch time is different than the usual, you will be notified via email or via phone. If we anticipate a longer lead time, it will be noted in the item description.
In case your order is not in stock we will give you an estimated shipping time by a follow-up email.
You should receive an email confirming your order shortly after you’ve placed it. If you don’t receive that email, please check your spam folder and see if you can locate it. This is especially important because, if you haven’t received the order confirmation email, you also won’t receive the email with your shipment notification and tracking information. When your order gets a tracking number you will receive an SMS with the tracking number (only if you entered your mobile phone when you registered).
As a shipping service we use the global postal service network. We ship all orders with a tracking number and signed for. For customers that need their parts urgently we offer UPS and DHL Courier Service. UPS and DHL are using their global network to deliver on time for your needs the products ordered. This service is optional and it comes with an extra charge.

All items with a value of more than 50€ are shipped signature required if possible; please plan accordingly. Please contact us as soon as possible and be sure to include your order number (Transaction ID). Please note that, in this case, you will be accepting responsibility if anything were to happen to the package.
We do ship internationally.
There are a few things to be aware of, however: you, the buyer, are responsible for any VAT, tariff, duty, taxes, handling fees, customs clearance charges, etc. required by your country for importing consumer goods. Please do your research so you’re ready to get your package cleared through customs, and have an idea of what the additional cost will be.

If you have backordered items in your cart at checkout, those items will not be shipped to you until the item(s) are in stock and available to ship. During the checkout process, you will be able to select if you want all of your items to be shipped together or separate. You will be able to see expected ship dates for backordered items, but these dates are subject to change. You will not be charged additional freight for backordered items that do not ship with your original order.
Depending on the shipping method you choose the delivery time varies. We can guaranty the dispatch time but the delivery date depends on the shipping method you choose. TPL-PARTS is not responsible for a possible delay on delivery.
Shipping fees are determined by the merchandise total of the order and the selected carrier service. Shipping charges vary depending on the package size, weight, destination and shipping method.
International Shipping: Rates are calculated based on a number of factors, including desired service level, the weight of the item, and the cost of shipping and handling to the destination country/region.
TPL-PARTS warrants all products against defects in material or workmanship for a period of two year from the original date of purchase of the product by a consumer (the “Warranty Period”). TPL-PARTS does not warrant, and is not responsible for, any product that was not purchased thru TPL-PARTS official sale network or directly. If a material or workmanship defect arises with regard to any product, and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, TPL-PARTS will (1) repair the product using new or refurbished parts or (2) replace the product with a new or refurbished product. For purposes of this limited warranty, “refurbished” means a product or part that has been substantially returned to its original specifications. In the event of a defect, these are your exclusive remedies.
Except for the limited warranty expressly set forth above or to the extent restricted or prohibited by applicable law, TPL-PARTS expressly disclaims any and all other warranties express or implied, including any warranty of quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, and you specifically agree that TPL-PARTS shall not be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages for breach of any warranty of any type on any product. In addition to and without limiting the generality of the foregoing disclaimers, the limited warranty does not, under any circumstances, cover the replacement or cost of any electronic device or personal property inside or outside of the product.
For end users who are covered by an applicable consumer protection law or regulation in their country of purchase or residence, the benefits to the end user under this limited warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the end user under such laws or regulations. Such benefits may include additional warranties or rights relating to the performance of this product and remedies applicable in the event of a defect. This limited warranty will be interpreted under the laws or regulations that apply to the end user in any state, province or country and any provision of this limited warranty that conflicts with any such end user rights or benefits is not applicable to end users covered by such law or regulation, so the exclusions and limitations set out in this limited warranty may not apply, or may not fully apply, to you.
Your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach by TPL-PARTS of this Limited Warranty, and TPL-PARTS's sole and entire liability for such breach, is, at TPL-PARTS's option, to repair or replace the defective product or, if the warranty claim is submitted during the first thirty (30) calendar days of the Warranty Period, refund the purchase price of the defective product. Repair or replacement of the applicable product (including parts and labor as well as re-shipping costs) shall be made at TPL-PARTS's expense. TPL-PARTS reserves the right to send you a replacement product that is the same or of a similar style to the product you returned under the Limited Warranty or a substitute equivalent to your original Product that may not be of like kind (depending on availability). Replacement products will be furnished only on an exchange basis. Replacement or repaired products are warranted as above only for the remainder of the original applicable Warranty Period.
If you wish to make a claim under this Limited Warranty with respect to a product please contact us requesting for an RMA. All of the above information is required before a warranty claim will be accepted. Once Company validates your claim, we will issue you an RMA number and shipping information .
Please note that TPL-PARTS cannot accept returned products in packages without an RMA number. Your RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package containing your returned product. Returning a product without an RMA number waives all of TPL-PARTS responsibilities under the limited warranty, even if proof of delivery is available, due to our inability to match your purchase with the returned product – so, if you send us a package without the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package, you understand and acknowledge that you will lose both the product(s) in the package as well as any applicable remedy you would have received under the limited warranty.
Except as expressly set forth above in this limited product warranty section, each product is provided solely on an "as is" basis and TPL-PARTS makes no other warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TPL-PARTS specifically disclaims and excludes any and all other warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. If such disclaimer of any implied warranty is not permitted by law, the duration of any such implied warranty is limited to the duration of the warranty period of the limited warranty as set forth above. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limitations on how long an implied warranty may last, so such limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. If applicable law specifies a minimum warranty period that is longer than the warranty period set forth in the limited warranty, then the warranty period for products subject to such applicable law shall be conformed to the minimum period so required. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction but due to the nature of our products, it is common that the customer's expectations might not fulfill because of the lack of the physical contact with the purchased item or due to technical specifications. If, for whatever reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to TPL-PARTS within 30 days of purchase date subject to conditions below. All items should be returned with a valid TPL-PARTS RMA number that you must ask prior to the shipping of the product. So, before you decide to return an item please contact us via eBay.
We would like our customers to feel more secure when buying online. Thus, we offer the option to our customers to return even non defective products. Especially, for the 30 first calendar days from the date you received your order, the customer may return the product for exchange or refund.
The returned product should be in the same condition in which it was delivered. Specifically, the item should not have been unpacked (apart from trying it of course), scratched, broken or painted. Also the item must have its original box. The customer must bare the delivery cost of the return of the product/order. The return of a non-defective product can only be done once.
If a similar product is not available,the amount of the purchase of the product is credited to the client. This credit balance can be used in any new order for the customer wishes. The customer may request a refund for the amount credited. All claims do not include delivery costs (to and from the client).
TPL-PARTS will repair or replace a defective product within the first two years from the date you purchased your product for free. The shipping fees for returning the item are paid by the customer and the cost for resending the item back to the customer is paid by TPL-PARTS. In case the product is out of the warranty period TPL-PARTS charges inspection fees 45 €.
In case you want to cancel your order, please keep in mind that the cancellation will be accepted within 2 hour of the order completion. Beyond that point no cancellation will be accepted.
Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase. Once we receive and inspect the product, we will credit your account. Please allow 5-7 days for a credit to appear on your account. If payment was made by check, the refund check will not be issued before ~10 business days after the date of purchase. Unfortunately we cannot refund duties, taxes or shipping charges. Purchases that were processed with currency other than € will be refunded with the current exchange rate. If you haven’t received your refund yet, please contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund shows in your account. There is often some processing time before a refund is shown up.
TPL-PARTS offers “restock option” to the clients who have purchased the product more than 30 days ago and they are not satisfied with it. Please refer to our customer support team for more information.
