In January 2009, China and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding certain art and objects from China. Archeological Material importation restrictions pertain to items produced in China before 907 AD (the end of the Tang Dynasty). Items legally inside the United States on January 16, 2009 are exempt from these restrictions. There are very strict requirements and disclosures along with Chinese Government approval required before these listed items may be exported legally from China into the United States. Please Note: The Chinese items (online) that we have listed as Antique were in the United States on or before January 16, 2009. Furthermore one should understand that any items being sold from Chinese sellers in China that are covered under this MOU may not be imported into the United States. Many items sold by unscrupulous Chinese sellers may actually be reproductions disguised and labeled as antiques. We strongly advise all buyers in the United States that such items may be confiscated by US Customs. Govern yourself accordingly. |
Our return policy should be read in light
of our commitment to providing a description of the items offered for
sale based on our best effort (after many years of experience dealing
in, trading, and being a licensed appraiser of such merchandise), to
accurately describe what is being offered for sale. The dating of many
items are based on our opinion from experience. In addition we may
provide comparables of similar items recognized by other leading
authorities. All information provided in this listing should be used as
a guide, the final judgment based upon your own knowledge and
experience. For instance, our use of the word antique complies with
the U.S. government s definition of the term and constitutes our
warranty that the item is at least 100 years old. Other items that
reflect bygone days, but are not yet antique, are commonly referred to
as vintage. Further, you should know that reference to certain time
periods can be guides to the buyer, such as Art Deco, Art Nouveau,
Victorian, Ming, Ch ing, Sung, or Meiji. Items carrying such
descriptions reflect the seller s judgment and experience and,
accordingly, pricing. It is also important to note that there is a
significant distinction between something being of a certain period,
versus being made in the style of the period. Unscrupulous competitors
may confuse the two; we do not. If you can articulate why our
description is in error, we will accept return of your purchase as
stated in our "Terms" so long as we hear from you in advance and you
absorb the cost of insured shipping. That means, as e-Bay policy clearly
states, buyer s remorse is no reason for a return, nor is changing your
mind for other reasons; you have to tell us what we said or showed that
was not true. Please read each description carefully. Ask questions to
be sure what you think we are selling is indeed what you desire. When
viewing two-dimension pictures, images may appear different, such as
color, size, etc. To be sure, ASK questions. Returns are not accepted
after 30 days. Return shipping to be paid for by purchaser. No
international returns. We prefer not to complete a sale if your
intentions are to return it for any reason. We reserve the right to
refuse an offer or sale at our sole discretion. If you purchase an
item(s) and we ship that item(s) to you and your location does not allow
its importation, we cannot be liable. For example: some countries
forbid the importation of certain gems - so if you purchase a gem(s)
from us, and we ship it to your location, and it does not arrive, for
any reason, we will not be responsible. Please check your importation
rules and regulations. Because we want you to get what you expect from a
respected seller, we strongly urge you to make inquiry -- to seek
clarification if you have any concerns before you bid or purchase an
item. Please be mindful that unless an item is listed as new, it
should be considered pre-owned and used to the extent of normal wear
and tear. For a more detailed report on a used item s condition, please
correspond with us. Doubts should be resolved in advance and we can only
do that if you contact us about your concerns before bidding. If you
don t do that, be prepared to tell us exactly how we misrepresented an
item or consider the sale to be final. We can only ensure full
satisfaction if you do your part. On issues of dating and authentication
disagreements - documentation may only be accepted by established
recognized, licensed professionals. Establishments, such as GIA, Oxford
Authentication or Recognized Forensic Laboratories may be considered.
All documentation will be checked and scrutinized. Fraudulent claims
will be turned over to the appropriate parties for adjudication. Lastly,
we adhere to e-Bay s buyer satisfaction policies and to federal and
state laws. Venue for resolution of any legal dispute is Palm Beach
County, Florida. |
