1950's ENGLISH PEDIGREE WALKER DOLL IN BRIDAL OUTFIT
22" HEIGHT
This is a lovely English Pedigree doll from the 1950's era and is in good, played with condition and as described . She is made from hard plastic.
She is a walker doll and the mechanism in her legs seems to be relatively smooth working.
She has blue sleeping/flirty eyes but is missing her eyelashes and there is very minor wear to her paintwork on the face. She has an open mouth with a tongue behind and her 2 upper teeth. Her strawberry blonde saran wig is original to her and in good condition.
She has a lovely body with no splits or cracks and just usual marks from a doll that was played with. Her ma-ma is non working with is not unusual with dolls from this era as the rubber in the ma-ma deteriorated with time. They can be replaced but I never do. The original blush on her knees is brighter on one leg than the other.
The bridal outfit she is wearing is from the 1950's and appears to have been made for her. It is in lovely condition with some beading down the front and a lace topped bodice also trimmed with beading with one missing. The frock has a train on it. Underneath she has a petticoat, pants, and satin soft shoes again with some pearl like buttons with them missing on one of them. She has also had (perhaps later) made for her a veil attached to a headband with fabric flowers.
She is a lovely Pedigree doll that will stand out in any collection.
