THE PAINTING: This is LOUISE AT HER BEAUTIFUL BEST! Using a vibrant pallette of warm colourful tones against a contrasting black background, Louise has created a stunning painting to depict the spikey characteristics of the spinifex grass.

Louise is one of the highly talented Numina sisters who are fast emerging as the next artistic dynasty in the aboriginal art world. She started painting in 1981 after being taught by her internationally renowned aunties, Gloria and Kathleen Petyerre. And this painting is a perfect example of her aunts' expert tuition paying off.

Louise moved from Alice Springs to Darwin in 1995 to study at Nungalinya College and later at the Northern Territory University where she gained a diploma in Fine Arts. Since then, Louise’s work has been extensively exhibited, and purchased by prominent art lovers, collectors and institutions worldwide.
