Late 19th Century (1888 circa) German solid silver tea caddy box having hexagonal panelled body and pull off lid, decorated with repoussé high relief scenes of daily life, fishermen, traders, farmers and children playing.
This hand made box is hallmarked at the base with "Crescent and crown" (Halbmond und Reichskrone) , the silver fineness 800,and the maker mark (I could not identify the maker). In good conditions, the decorations are still crisp, minor scratches at the base. There are a couple of tiny dents on the lid (not very noticeable). Any lines in the photos are only reflections.
