c1950 Jarvi Furniture, Sydney, walnut occasional table. Quarter cut burr walnut veneer top surface, moulded edging, carving to the shoulder of each of the four legs. With glass top. Makers badge under the top. Length 74 cm, Width 44 cm, Height 40 cm.
Jarvi Furniture was founded by Len Jarvi who was born in Finland in 1910, migrated to Australia learning his trade at Chesterfield Furniture in Botany NSW. He established Jarvi Furniture in Sydney after the war manufacturing high quality lounge and dining furniture influenced on the Jacobean style of furniture.
Table in good condition with some minor marks from aging. Really solid structure and no chips on the glass.
