Bottling Notes

The name ‘Ragnvald’ comes from a famous Viking who navigated uncharted waters acquiring precious stones, exotic fabrics and valuable jewels from across Europe and throughout the Middle East.

An exclusive expression from Highland Park’s Warrior series made using whiskies drawn predominantly from European oak casks with a small amount of American oak in the mix. It's one of the more rich and complex whiskies in the collection with a reported 60% been first fill sherry.

Tasting notes

NOSE: The perfect contradiction of young citrus fruits and old oak with a touch of sherry and spice
PALATE: Nicely balanced light smoke and rich vanilla up front soon joined by cocoa, nutmeg and more sherry.
FINISH: Complex and prolonged ginger spice, dark chocolate and smoke.

Terms of Sale

All items for sale are in Australia at The Old Barrelhouse.

We would appreciate payment within 24 hours of purchase and reserve the right to cancel any sales that have not been paid for within 3 days.

Unfortunately there is no local pick up as per conditions of our license.

PayPal is our preferred service but if you pay by bank deposit, please enter your eBay user ID as a reference for a smoother transaction.

 

Delivery Information

We are happy to combine postage and will adjust the invoice accordingly.

Items will be posted within 1 business day of receiving cleared funds. If your goods are returned because an incorrect address was provided you will be required to re-pay shipping costs prior to the release of your item/s.

Tracking numbers are included with all deliveries.

A signature will be required upon delivery. If an adult over the age of 18 isn't available to accept and sign for the goods or the premises is unattended, Australia Post will leave a card and the package will be waiting for pick-up at your local post office.

Alcohol will not be sent to the Restricted Dry Areas of Queensland.

 

Insurance

Insurance is extra at a rate of $1.50 per every $100 of value up to $5,000

This gives you protection for your item/s if they are lost in transit. If you choose not to take out insurance, Specialty Liquor Group (The Old Barrelhouse) will NOT be held responsible for your goods if they're lost. By not taking out insurance you are accepting full responsibility for your goods in transit.

If you choose to take out insurance, once you 'commit to buy', don't pay for the item and contact us immediately. We'll send you an invoice with the insurance included.

 

Damaged and Broken Items

It's important that you check your item before signing the delivery form. If you see any serious aesthetic damage to the package/box DO NOT ACCEPT THE DELIVERY. (It is your right to refuse the package). Australia Post will then deliver the item back to The Old Barrelhouse and once we've inspected it we'll either send you out a replacement bottle or issue you a full refund.

In a case where you accept the delivery (or an adult on your behalf does) and the goods are broken or damaged, please take a few photos of the damage then contact us immediately. We will give you specific instructions to re-seal the package to the best of your ability and post it back to us in its original packaging and in the same condition as you received it. (Don't worry: we pay the return postage cost). We will then inspect the damage on a case by case basis and once we're satisfied that the item was broken/damaged in transit to you, we will issue a full refund.

 

Alcohol Policy

Pursuant to the Liquor Act 2007 it is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

Buyer must be over the age of 18. Liquor will be sent with tracking which requires a signature by a person over the age of 18. The parcel will not be left at the premises unattended.
