Issued New York, 1865 by J.H. Colton. Scarce antique engraved map with original hand color made in the mid-19th century. Not to be confused with the much more "common" folio sheet Colton maps of the same era, this version of the map being a small, reduced format entirely newly engraved for their today quite uncommon "Octavo" format atlas. Print paper and engraved area remains well preserved. Please inspect scan closely as it capture how the map survives visually. 

Nice old antique map, entirely worthy of display, resale, gift-giving, etc.

Sheet measures c. 11 1/2" x 9 1/4".  Printed area measures c. 10 1/2" x 7 3/4".
