GREEN BOTTLEBRUSH
Callistemon pinifolius
(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
A native of New South Wales, it prefers medium to heavy soils in a moist, protected position. This plant has been listed as endangered by conservationists.
It is drought and frost resistant and once established is quite hardy. An evergreen shrub to 1.5 metres with a spread of 1.5 metres, it has an open crown of stiff, narrow leaves and apple-green brushes in spring. (There is also a dull red flower form of this plant.)
Offered is a packet of approx 200 seeds with Grownotes.
