Gorgeous 1920s-1930s Cream Parasol Purple Underside Bakelite Handle, Cap & Tips. It is about 23 1/2 inches from the tip to the handle. When open, it has a diameter of about 30 inches across.
I've dealt with parasols for some time, and I often find varying degrees of damage. This piece is immaculate. It does have two small holes on the top that are hardly noticeable and a thread knot on one side of the exterior (see last photos). Slight discoloration in the creases. I took many photos of the top for you to see how slight it is.This is a fantastic conversation piece! I say this being an overly anal-nit picky person.
The interior is a sumptuous purple silk, the exterior is cream colored. The handle, tips, cap and ring latch are Bakelite. The interior stem is wood. The mechanisms are pristine and shiny!
