Genuine Old Ikat from Indonesia

A genuine old Ikat cloth from Insana in Timor, most probably from Subun village. A man's mantle made by a master weaver. Characteristic Insana design with wide middle panel in plain dark indigo flanked by two panels with scores of narrow stripes each and a wider central band with linked kaif motifs in white on indigo. The weavers of Insana are recognized as amongst the most skilled in Indonesia, and this example would have been made for a village nobleman. In excellent condition. Measures 203cm long by 89 cm wide (length does NOT include the fringes at each end). Good quality handspun medium cotton. Weighs just under 900 garms. Quite rare nowadays, the only similar examples I have found online for sale are all over USA$300. Located near Manly, and I am willing to bring the ikat to serious buyers in Sydney for examination.
