D a v i d s o n s P l u m (Davidsonia pruriens)
Davidsonia pruriens, also known as ooray, Davidson's plum.
The edible dark burgundy colored fruit is produced in large clusters from the branches or the trunk, depending on the type.
An attractive evergreen plant, with purple decorative very sweet, tangy, tasty and highly juicy, delicately sweet and sour fruit.
Prefers deep, well drained soils, with good amounts of water and protection from wind and direct sun.
Best suited to high rainfall, humid areas with temperatures around 25 - 35 degrees.
An adaptable plant, it grows best in dappled sunlight in a well drained moist soil, with plenty of organic matter. Neutral to slightly acid pH.
