Product Description
This kit contains a Dread Empire's Classic Shampoo & Wax. Squeaky clean hair, free of oil and conditioning residues is the fastest, easiest and healthiest way to kick ass dreads...and Dread Empire Classic Shampoo is the answer! This baby is all natural and thoroughly cleansing by utilising plant and coconut derived ingredients.
Dread Empire's Dread Wax will bind, tighten and accelerate the locking process of new and mature dreadlocks. With a beeswax base the texture is a little creamier and more workable than the other dread waxes on the market. This makes for quicker application whilst still giving you the hold it needs to keep unruly dreads under control.
Dread Empire's Dread Wax is suitable for any colour hair. In the jar the wax is cream in colour and when worked into your dreadlocks it becomes transparent.
Also included in this kit are our number 1 accessory! Dread Cuffs are expandable to fit almost any size dread. They are also a great way to hide lumps and bumps.
The Dreadlocks Survival Kit includes:
Dread Empire Classic Shampoo - 400mls
Dread Empire Dread Wax - 150gms
10 x Dread Cuffs, our #1 accessory
Ingredients Classic shampoo: Purified Aqua, Lauryl Glucoside (plant derived), Cocamido Propyl Betaine (coconut oil derived), Citric Acid, Phenoxy Ethanol (natural preservative) Dread Wax: Beeswax, Micro Wax, Olive OIl, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil, Vitamin E

Mature dreadlocks can be washed as often as desired and in fact, this helps dreadlocks to tighten and lock up. The cleaner your hair the better it will dread. After thoroughly wetting your hair, carefully massage shampoo into your dreadlocks and scalp. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze the water out of your dreadlocks. Wrap them in a towel to absorb excess moisture and then be sure to let them dry thoroughly by air or with a hair dryer before tieing them up. It is a good idea to palm roll after shampooing as this will separate and shape each dread. Palm rolling is also the technique used to apply Dread Wax. Apply a very small amount of wax (no bigger than the size of a pea) to each dread and work it in thoroughly with your palms or with the aid of a hair dryer. We recommend wax is applied every 6-12 weeks. If your hair tends to be dry and course then you can get away with doing it more frequently. If your dreads are new or if you feel they have become loose or messy, then you may also want to perform some maintenance. A Dreading Crochet Hook can be used occasionally to pull loose hairs back into the dreadlocks. The use of Dread Empire's Accelerator, Tightening Gel and Dread Dust also greatly assist in achieving neat, well groomed dreadlocks.
