On offer is this very rare and absolutely stunning antique Coalport Regency Adelaide shape tea set, consisting of 4 tea cups and saucers and a cake serving plate. Hand painted in England in the 1830s, with number marking on some pieces. Strongly gold gilded in detailed and exquisite patterns with floral bouquet in the centre of each piece. The cups have wide mouth and wavy gold rims.
Most of the pieces are in very good condition given their age. Gold gilding is strong and mostly intact on all pieces except one saucer. There’s very small chip/flea bite on a cup and a hairline on another (even though this cup still rings clear when gently tapped).
Please examine all the pics carefully as they form part of the description.
Approximate measurements
