Blacksmith made Japanese Carpenters Hammer

Medium to heavier weight Kanna or Plane Iron adjustment hammer, good for general nailing and chisel work with Japanese chisels. Excellent hammer head sold in the traditional manner without a handle. I also have hammer handle blanks for sale so you can make your own handle as a traditional carpenter would. Alternatively I have some hammer handles arriving soon which would suit these hammer heads.

Condition

New never been used. Traditionally hammers, axes and other tools were sold without handles. In Japan some traditional black smiths still sell them without handles.

I'm open to offers. Especially if you are buying a bunch of other stuff at the same time. 

Re Postage.  

Most of the items I'm selling weigh less than 500g which costs about $9 to post. Almost all the rest weigh less than 1kg which costs about $13. If you are buying just one item that can add a fair bit to the cost. So its much more economical to buy a bunch of stuff. 

To save you money I don't mind holding on to your items a bit longer after you have paid for them if you want to bid on other stuff that I have for sale. In that case I'll calculate the postage based on the heaviest item at cost and then half price for the next item ($4.5 to $7.5) and $2 per item after that. If you buy more than three items this should save you a lot in postage. If its a tiny item like a small saw sharpening feather file (which I'll be listing shortly for example) there won't be any extra postage. Also I regularly list items as "free postage with any other purchase" so have a look at what else I'm selling and save some money.

What I'm doing....

I get a box or two a month of tools from Japan or Europe (mostly Japan at the moment). I'm doing this mostly as something to keep myself busy and to fund my hobby/addiction (tools). At present I am the full time carer for my disabled son. That means that sometimes I won't be able to answer your questions as quickly as you or I would like. It may also mean that I might take a little longer to post your items.

I'll do my best to answer your questions and post your items within two business days but sometimes I just can't. Currently we are running one hospital admission per week and have been for over a year. So thanks in advance for your understanding.
