Apparently where I now live (We Moved Recently) I can not park my 1978 Bedford Motor Caravan outside my house on the street for more than 1 hour. Therefore she has to go, as people have complained about a big blue bus parked in the street! She is a 1978 Bedford BLP2DH with a 5 speed manual turner gearbox, with an 8 litre straight 6 normally aspirated engine. Registered until 07/10/2024 WA Registration WA are happy for you to re-register under you current address, it is registered under my NSW Address and I just renew every year online. I bought her 5 years ago with a few to gutting her and starting afresh, however time and now nosey neighbours have got the best of me and I have to let her go to a better home. Driver Seat with lap belt 2 x Passenger seats with builtin inertia belts. Fitted out with a Dual 150 Litre Fuel Tanks Double Bed Shower (Full Size) Thetford Toilet to a Black Water Tank 150Ltr Fridge / Freezer Fulls Size Sink and Drainer to Gray Tank 100 Ltr 400 Litre Fresh Water Tanks Solar Panel Inverter DC to DC convertor 24v to 12v 8Ka Generator, self Starting (Self Starter needs looking at) 2 Spare Wheels Domatec Air Conditioner (Roof Mounted) 2 Leather Reclining single Seats 240vac Electrical system fully functional (MCB Box Needs Fining into a cabinet) Navra Slit Battery System, Once the Start Batteries are Charged it splits to charge the house batteries. Tyre Pressure Monitor on all 6 tyres Sat Nav Rear View Camera (Works but not great) Over the last 5 years I have spent quite a bit getting her safe. 1/ Diff completely Rebuilt with new parts and oil. 2/ Windscreens both sides. 3/ Wiper Arms and Blades (Not Fitted Yet) 4/ Starter Motor 5/ Engine Removed and new bearings and oil slinger seal 6/ King Pins 7/ Engine Side Plates 8/ Exhaust Manifold 9/ Steering Ram 10/ Park Brake and Valve 11/ Water Pump 12/ Start Batteries x 2 13/ House Batteries X 4 14 Front Wheel Bearings 15/ Rear Wheel Bearings 16 Flywheel Re Surfaced 17/ New Clutch and Pressure Plate 18/ Gearbox Mount 19/ Shock Mounts 20/ Airlines replaced 21/ Front Brake Shoes 22/ Rear Brake Shoes 23/ Led Headlights All up around $30,000 including Parts, Oils, Fittings and Labour. It’s only been driven from Goulburn to Barrack Heights since the engine and drive train were rebuilt. It ran perfectly and didn’t miss a beat. Things That still need attention: New Mirrors to be fitted (Still in Boxes) Speedo Cable needs replacement Hazard Warning Light Switch needs replacement Oil / Water Temp Gauges need looking at Fuel Gauge Needs Looking at. High/Low Beam Floor Switch needs fixing to the floor (Still Works) Windscreen Wiper Arms Need Fitting (New in Boxes) Entry Door split dot type, needs top mount secured and door raised to stop rubbing on the floor when opened. Engine Stop Handle, wire need reattaching to decompressor. This is an old bus and not perfect, but would suit someone with a little time to do the things that need doing.
