Australian Map 'Greetings' & Golden Wattle ~ Lge Vintage Hand Embroidered Centre

I have for sale a gorgeous large hand embroidered Australiana centrepiece, of a Map of Australia with the word 'Greetings' to each end, then a gorgeous border side display of golden wattle and foliage. Beautifully hand embroidered, on a off-white fine linen, with a lovely peaked white hand crochet edge - have not seen this pattern before :)

Measurements; 38cm x 59cm or 15" x 23 1/4 inches

Excellent Vintage Condition - very faint pinkish mark near one side - extra soak? so faint is is hardly noticeable but only mentioned for complete accuracy :)

Embroidery work is such a lost art ~ it is not as common as it was in our Grandmothers days, and to the standard they were taught as part of 'getting ready to run their own homes'. I think about the person who has spent so many hours making such beautiful creations ~ it truly is a lost art. These gorgeous 'Linen Treasures' are getting very hard to find! ~ so I gather them to offer to you :) They are washed and lightly pressed, ready to use in your home, gift or your own collection :)
