Late 19th-century urn-shaped Austrian Majolica vase with a Japanese-style bird motif on a background of delicate flora and foliage. Adorned with double acanthus leaf decorated scrolling handles completed by Medusa faces to the base of handles.
Characterised by warm earth tones and hand-painted applications on both sides, it reflects the typical style of Gerbing & Stephan, making it a noteworthy addition to any collection.
