They were made by Allith-Prouty Company of Danville Illinois. They are dated 11-17-14. I found these at a farm estate. They were somewhat rusty when I got them. I used vinegar to loosen the rust and I did a lot of cleaning to restore them to a fine old industrial look. All parts meant to move work fine, as well as the nuts on the bolts. These were made to hang a heavy door, perhaps as much as 2 1/2 inches thick. I found one spot where the metal is broken. You can see it on a close-up photograph. The bolt head resting in this spot is part of the system that adjusts the raising or lowering of the door. The door could be adjusted to hang down as much as 1 1/2 inches from the track in order to compensate for mis-measured construction. I do not know if the cast iron could be welded for repairs. I think the metal as it is still has significant strength. These rollers were designed for a very heavy industrial door and I believe a modern interior door would not place the unit in any further danger of breaking or damage. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please see all photos for more details. Thanks for looking! Style: Restoration, Type: Barn Door, Features: Restored
