Comments: The images have different dimensions and formats (1 portrait format, 8 landscape formats) and in most cases have a white image border. With the exception of two smaller formats, the small bundle is approximately in size. 8.5 x 11 cm in front. Some of the recordings contain labels (in German) or numbering on the back. For example, you can see the two labels: “Ready to pay wages” and “Lava field”. The photos come from a private collection, which focused particularly on Cameroon. We can assume with a certain degree of probability that these are images from Cameroon, but we cannot make any definitive statements. The historical photographs most likely come from the 1930s and not from the German colonial period itself. However, many former colonial companies were able to buy back territories years after the loss of the colonies. The photographs may also have been taken in this context. The photographic paper from some of the photographs is marked "Agfa Lupex" or "Agfa Brovira", both of which were only available since the 1920s. The extremely interesting views show: colonial buildings, functional buildings on plantations and cultivated areas with plants. A photo that shows a large group of African residents in a kind of celebratory act seems particularly interesting. Other shots worth highlighting show, for example, a detail of the payment of wages on a plantation (coins on the table) or a successful planting on a former lava field. However, it is unlikely that all the photos were taken in one place; it seems more plausible that the photos were taken in several places. Historical images with reference to German colonial and economic history in Cameroon!
