I am a very sceptical person and always thought people who buy expensive copper and magnetic bracelets were gullible and easy targets for slick salesmen. About eight years ago I started getting joint pain in my ankles which I figured was the result of 30 years of running marathons, ultra marathons, fun runs, triathlons and all the pavement pounding hours of training that went into these events. I read extensively to find out why such a simple device cured my pain and found most articles on the topic were sceptical. A 2004 study published in the prestigious British Medical Journal tested 194 men and women with osteoarthritis and the conclusion was that “pain decreases when wearing magnetic bracelets but it is uncertain whether this response is due to specific or non-specific (placebo) effects.”

These magnetic copper bracelets are made of pure copper. The designs are unisex and are adjustable for men or women. You simply open them wide enough to fit over your wrist and then close them again to the shape that feels most comfortable for you. If you have bigger wrists the gap between the ends will be bigger....with smaller wrists the gap will be smaller or even touch...either way the bracelets are still effective because the magnetic field extends a few centimetres around the 6 magnets.
