Dimensions are approximately:

  Cup width excluding handle: 8cms (3" ins) 

Cup height excluding handle: 7cms (2 3/4" ins)

Saucer diameter: 15cms (5 7/8"ins)

Tea Plate diameter: 14.5cms (5 3/4"ins) square

 This attractive trio was produced by English company T.F. & S Ltd.  It features a lovely example of hand painted flowers with a pale pink border.  The glaze finish is not shiny but matte.

   Apart from age related crazing t he condition is overall excellent for vintage, commensurate with age.  The handpainted colours are still very good and vibrant.

Thomas Forester established the Phoenix Works in the mid 1870's which was situated in Longton, Staffordshire, England, an area renowned for quality pottery production since the  mid 1700's or earlier.   In 1883 his sons joined the business and t he company became Thomas Forester & Sons Ltd.  The factory produced mainly decorative wares which are  highly regarded by collectors for their quality.  Production ceased in the 1950's.
