Sprocket, 45t Rear Sprocket 1999-2009 Suzuki SV650s OEM size is 525x108 x-ring chain, 15t Ft. Sprocket, 44t Rear Sprocket 2010-2012 Suzuki SV650s OEM size is 525x108 x-ring chain, 15t Ft. Sprocket, 45t Rear Sprocket 2007-2010 Suzuki SV650a/sa (ABS) OEM size is 525x114 x-ring chain, 15t Ft. Sprocket, 45t Rear Sprocket (ABS Model NEEDS a 114L chain!!) REQUEST IF NECESSARY (15/45t with 525x110L is the default size that will be sent unless otherwise requested) For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), Request a 14t front sprocket and a 45t rear. (the -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain, This change will be quicker for sure, but your top gear cruising rpm's will be higher, and your top speed will be slower. For FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's, Request a 16t front sprocket or a 42t rear sprocket. (the +1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain, the -2t/-3t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs altered to go back to stock) This change will be lower top gear crising rpm's, and faster top speed for sure, ut will be slower in first gear take off. Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated "Happy Medium" of off the line acceleration, roll on's, and reasonable high speed engine rpm's with the least amount of compromise on either top end or low end acceleration. Note; some SV's come with 44t rear as orig. equip, and some come with 45t. One tooth on the rear is a very slight change, but 45t is just a little quicker which is the most popular size. * A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. but opposite effects. EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear) EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front and +1 tooth rear combined is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front) As stated... Stock gearing is the factory calculated "happy medium" of both low end acceleration and top end speed. Optional Sprocket Sizes Available JT Steel Ft. Half the Power Loss (Compared with Normal O-Ring) X-Ring construction reduces friction by twisting between the side plates instead of being squashed. Normal O-Rings and other makers’ modified O-Rings have squashed points that increase friction.
