WHY BUY TruaCuT Router Bits?
ICHAR D T ANLEY P T Y . L TD Years Experience The Stanley family , through v arious entities, hav e been supplying qualit y cutting tools for the machine of a wide r ange of material for more than 60 y ears in A ustr alia and throughout the world.
Geometric Designed for Industry Based on decades of field testing and continual improv ement has earned for Stanley T ruaCut products, a reputation for reliabilit y and qualit y second to none.
Anti-Kickback All T ruaCuT shaped router bits incorpor ate this v ery important feature. The reason for this is that with the old st yle bits, hav e a tendency to kickback at y ou when the job comes into initial contact with the router bit. This kickback could cause serious injury to y ou.
Shear, Hook & Clearance Angles These angles can differ from bit to bit depending upon the complexit y of the shape. The Shear angle is measured from the axis of the bit. This is gener ally a positiv e, continuous slant angled cutting edge which shear cuts smoothly r ather than hav e a one chop cut by the full form, str aight cutting edge with each rev olutionary pass. The Hook angle is measured from a line passing through the centre to the outside diameter of the bit. This hook angle on the face of the bit hooks under the sha ving, helping to sev er the w aste smoothly . The Clear ance is the angle at the back of the full form on the outside diameter of the bit. T oo greater clear ance causes the bit to blunten quickly but too little clear ance will cause the rear of the tip to dr ag on the surface of the job thus burning the surface. These angles must be all correct in conjunction with each other so as to giv e a R outer bit that will cut clean and smooth producing a professional finish lik e a T ruaCuT R outer Bit does for y ou.
Material & Production T ruaCuT R outer bits are machined from High Qualit y Steel. During the turning, milling and br azing process man y qualit y control checks are performed. W e believ e that the finished R outer bit is no better than the foundation process. As material is remov ed from the steel in the turning and milling process there is a need to stress reliev e the tool. Also during the br azing of the T ungsten Carbide tips there is stress build up due to the fact that expansion and contr action r ates of steel as to tungsten carbide is quite different. Thus the need for tightly controlled r ate of temper ature reduction.
Tungsten Carbide Tips. T ruaCuT use a Premium Gr ade micro gr ain tungsten carbide. Amongst other qualities this allows for a mirror lik e finish and sharp tougher cutting edge to be produced giving a longer cutting life when machining v ery hard materials. |
