Size 27 Has no belt loops with twin front buttons and hook clasp.  Size 30 Has belt loops with No front buttons and hook clasp.  Size Guide A example of the size is best explained this way    30 - 29 - 12      Waist - Inseam - Rise  The first number 30 is waist - measurement in inches around the waistline . The second number 29 is the inseam - measurement in inches from the crotch to the bottom hem of the leg .
