Large Antique Colonial Australian cedar writing desk 5 drawers gilt leather 1865

DESCRIPTION:

Genuine Vintage Antique Antique Colonial Australian cedar writing desk with 5 drawers gilt leather inlaid top raised on turned legs and brass and ceramic castors . Victorian 1865 

The solid cedar top with a lovely inlaid gilt edge tooled green leather.  A large central drawer with lock and working key is flanked by two pairs of drawers either side.  All drawers open very smoothly as glides have been serviced and waxed and replaced where needed.

The desk is raised on unusual solid cedar turned legs that terminate in brass and ceramic castors.

This writing desk  is polished all round so it can stand in the centre of a room.

Good traditional shellac polished all round, this desk is  ready for immediate work and is fully experienced !

Any goods remaining after 30 days will be treated as uncollected and  abandoned   goods. The purchaser fully acknowledges this notice at the time of bidding  and any deposits received are forfeited to the seller in order to recover any restocking fees and storage charges. 

Abandoned goods may be disposed of by the seller in whatever manner is chosen. We are sorry to have to note this clause in our listing but are no longer able to store items indefinitely and for free.
