EXC ORIG 1947 THIS IS HOLLYWOOD EDMOND O'BRIEN PERSONAL, MARKED TEMPTATION RADIO SCRIPT COMPLETE!
A true find for the old time radio fan and vintage Hollywood memorabilia collector. An original (NOT A REPRODUCTION) 21 page script for THIS IS HOLLYWOOD radio show aired Saturday, March 1, 1947 (Show No. 22). Episode is titled "Temptation" an adaptation of the Universal feature starring Merle Oberon who appears on the program. Script is marked in pencil on the front page "EDMOND OBRIEN" (Academy award winning leading man and character actor who appeared in many John Ford films and the classic gangster film WHITE HEAT). This appears to be the script prepared for O'BRIEN as all his lines are circled in pencil. Interesting to note that there are other markings (also in pencil but in different handwriting) that most likely were made by O'Brien himself, as these include changes to dialogue (especially when O'Brien is speaking to show host Hedda Hopper and co star Oberon as himself at the end of the show). There are also intonation indications on some lines. Complete script features all show intros and Camay commercials as read by show announcer "Dudley". Script is in top shape with no notable rips, tears, browning, or staining. Script is held together by the original paper clips so is free of any staples. Script has two punch holes as was probably placed in a binder during the show. As an extra bonus, script comes with an original list of the CBS radio shows in Los Angeles that hosted studio audiences from Oct-Nov 1946. List wassent to listeners who wanted to attend the broadcasts. Overall, a great one of a kind original item for the golden age Hollywood and Old Time Radio fan.
