Selling a marvelous and hard-to-find pair of Backun MOBA clarinets. This one is the A in grenadilla, with a cocobolo bell. It is in exceptional condition: no cracks, chips or repairs, plating about 99.9% with no noticeable wear. Fairly recent overhaul in what appear to be black Valentino Masters Series pads, which still appear nearly new. Plays extremely well, but of course if you’re purchasing a clarinet at this level, you probably have your favorite tech who tweaks all your instruments to your preferences. Includes 65 and 64 barrels, swab, and a Boveda 2-way humidity control. Best of all, it’s in a beautiful rose gold rather than standard gold plate, which per Backun is “custom” and “very limited.” Knowing the prior owner, this very likely has the upgraded, solid silver thumb and register tubes, but I'm not certain of that. Comes in an excellent ProTec double case. Sells new for $9,849 plus whatever the custom rose gold may have been. An exceptional horn at an exceptional price, and not often available used!

Unfortunately, due to rampant abuse of eBay's automated returns, and since PayPal no longer refunds sales fees, we have had to revise our return policy. (1) If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us PRIOR to initiating a return via eBay and allow us to address your concerns. Many items such as clarinets and oboes come out of adjustment during the shipping process, and can be easily tweaked by your local technician. We are happy to talk you through this process. (2) Items may be returned for any reason at your expense within seven days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping and eBay fees, which are not refundable. If on receipt we are able to verify the item to be significantly different than described, we will additionally refund original shipping, PayPal fees, and your return shipping to maximum of $30.00.
