The Banyan trees are some of largest and magnificent trees in the world. 
A tropical tree which can be grown indoors all year round near a bright window. 

The long aerial shoots which hang from the main tree attach to the ground and become woody trunks. 
The Banyan tree makes a perfect bonsai. 
The aerial roots can be trained in a root-over-rock style.

 The fruit is eaten by birds and mammals.
