GUIDE TO THE HISTORIC
TRIGONOMETRICAL STATIONS OF SYDNEY'S NORTH
By Tony Dawson
Manly Warringah & Pittwater Historical Society Softcover 255 Pages 2007
At the time of publication there were over 120 registered trigonometrical stations in Sydney’s north – defined as the area bounded on the south by Port Jackson and the Parramatta River, on the west by the Lane Cover River and Berowra Creek, on the north by the Hawkesbury River and Broken Bay and on the east by the coast from Barrenjoey to North Head. Three quarters were established in the early 1800s. Whilst some have been destroyed or can no longer be found, the majority still exist in some form.
